It’s the LIST season!

The Jesus age is three days away, and the anniversary concert last weekend is still keeping me distracted to focus on ME, hence, this list. It’s not meant to require any of my loved ones, but for fun, and if someone surprises me with it, why not? I’m bound the cross off this list anyways if I get the extra money for it:)

  • acoustic guitar from Lumanog
  • imation speakers from cd-r king
  • cam cleaning kit from cd-r king
  • external hd 500gb or more

Books:

  • Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
  • Perks of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky
  • A Storm of Swords by George R.R. Martin
  • The Inheritance Cycle set (or just per piece) by Christopher Paolini

As usual, am keeping it simple. The three important aspects of my life are covered: music, photography, and literature. It’s not gonna change anymore till the end of my lifetime because that basically makes me ME.

You, what’s in your list? :)

The happy pilgrim!

My household has put up its Christmas decors, but I have yet to really feel the yuletide giddiness. I am still swamped with activities that keep me preoccupied to even blog about lengthy personal thoughts, but since it is apt to make a pre-yearender post, I will attempt to put down in words the few dreams that came true this year.

  • I became a happy wanderer. This is the year that I visited the nearby countries (HK, Macau, Bangkok), and my last stop will be Singapore in December! In retrospect, this blog has been filled mostly with pictures and accounts of where I’ve been to. A postponed trip to the US triggered this goal in January, and I was unstoppable in making my Asian tour come true since then. I never imagined it was even financially possible to travel given all my personal economic responsibilities, but yes! It’s do-able! Determination is the key (and good timing in booking the flight schedules and utilizing work leaves).

The traveling enriched me culturally and made me appreciate life on earth more and the millions of people we share it with. The big circles of diversity taught me how to be proud of my own culture & nationality. I felt very grown-up knowing how to read maps and navigate strange lands, and learned the importance of temperance during shopping sprees (haha). I am excited to plan more trips next year!  I’ll settle this year’s accounts first :)

  • I am a blessed pilgrim. My spiritual journeys are streamlined in my being a performer in a Catholic singing group, and this ministry has helped hone my creative facets like photography, singing, and choreography. I’ll be lying if I say I didn’t dream of getting a ‘break’ in one of our albums, but on the day that I turned 5 years with them, I got a text message saying I’ll be scheduled for a solo recording for the group’s 25th anniversary album! Woohoo! We’ll be launching it on Nov. 26, and am both excited and nervous to perform it live. It’s the opening track of our anniversary album, it’s composed by some of the Filipino liturgical music ‘greats’ in the inspirational, Catholic sphere, and may be used as a staple response in all of the Catholic masses around the world. I am humbled about being handpicked for it, and with joy, I will sing forever of God’s love and goodness.
“We Sing of Love”
2011 is a blast! The big anniversary concert is coming up, then my birthday, then the Singapore quickie, then Christmas break where my mom and my relatives are coming home from the US for a reunion! In the meantime that entries here are sparse, do check my book blog (http://tabbedbooks.wordpress.com) because it is bustling with life :) Ciao!
